I Love You Filthy Hobo

By now everyone is probably familiar with the Canuxploitation throwback Hobo with a Shotgun, but if after watching it you found yourself thinking - Gee, that was pretty awesome but I haven't quite had my fill of hobo-based cinema.  Well, head on over to Holy Taco to see a list of 24 other movies featuring drifters who were born to walk alone...  Now I have that Whitesnake song in my head again.

Anyway, one of them has Charles Bronson and one has Gerald McRaney and both are complete badasses.  I haven't seen the McRaney one and it looks like a Christmas movie so I'm guessing he destroys anyone who gets in Santa's way.  I may be wrong about that.

And for all the Canadians, here's a video of another famous hobo from the Great White North.  Although, this one doesn't carry a shotgun.  Canucks really seem to like their hobos.

Why I am seeing a dog in trailer with title "The littlest hobo?"

Dude, hobos are really letting themselves go. That littlest hobo really looked like a dog, probably needs a good shower. And a shave. Geeze.

Hobo With A Shotgun is STILL one of the best hobo movies I've ever seen.

Especially any hobo with a shotgun.

I still stand by it's cold-hearted 80's sensibilities going with it's heady dose of grindhouse goodness. I mean, c'mon - it's practically neighbors with Robocop!

Good god, ESPECIALLY the whole sewer-manhole punishment. Just, hell, the whole movie!

"Eat the glass, EAT THE GLASS!"

Felt like I was watchin' Riki Oh....

Fond memories for sure. This got me thinking who would win in a fight? The Littlest Hobo or Hobo with a Shotgun? Sure, Rutger has a shotgun, but the Littlest Hobo has the friendship and loyalty of all the new people he meets every day while he journeys across small town Canada!
